What are the requirements to be a judge?
Faculty, staff, post-docs and alumni are all welcome to participate.
What does judging entail?
- We will assign you a group of posters to evaluate.
- Each poster is viewed by at least one “in field” and one “out of field” judge.
- Judges come view and score each poster using a provided ballot.
- A few days prior to the event we will email you a PDF copy of the abstract booklet and your assigned judging ballot.
- Here is a [sample from 2017] so you can see what it will look like.
- A printed copy will be available that morning at the front desk.
- This ballot also has short instruction reminders.
- Presenters will be at their posters from 12:30-2:30, but the event is open to the public starting at 11am.
How many judges do you need?
This is a HUGE event!
Optimally we need to recruit 40 judges. We currently have 23 judges from the following departments:
